Redness / Rosacea
Rosacea is a common inflammatory skin condition characterised by persistent redness on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead, small visible blood vessels, bumps or pimples and watery or irritated eyes. Burning, swelling and/or dryness may also be a symptom of this condition.
Rosacea can be such a debilitating skin condition a survey by the National Rosacea Society (NRS) reported nearly 90 percent of rosacea patients said this condition has lowered their self esteem and self confidence and 41 percent reported it had caused them to avoid public contact or cancel social engagements.
While the cause of Rosacea is unknown and there is no cure, knowledge of its signs and symptoms have advanced to the point where it may be effectively controlled.
